au today we're doing a cable squat row so we've got our cable machine set up
here ready to go I've got it set at a setting which is around about my chest
height or just under my chest oh because that's exactly a little knot that row
to be straight in front of my chest for the row exercise so everybody out rope
attachment on here we're gonna grab that with two hands and that's gonna be a
row not a lot of overload from the actual weight for our squat but what the
weight that you want to play with is you want to get it to a weight that it's
actually wanting to pull you forwards that way you're engaging those core
muscles and so when you're doing the squat and when you're actually in the row
you have to really engage the core muscles and really keep it tight you're
almost feeling like it's willing to push pull you forward so we get from here
we're gonna take a step backwards and there should be a little bit of a struggle.
I should be really wanting to lean into it so if, I just let myself go that's
gonna pull me forward that's how much weight you want on that so from here
sitting back into it's lightly bent for those knees we're gonna come down into
our squat we're gonna come down just under 90 degrees you want to cuz we're in
a supported environment we can afford to go a little bit deeper with these ones
and come upas you come up you're gonna go pinch in to that row so you can bring
those elbows back I'm gonna let those arms come all the way back out again keep
the arms slightly bent don't straighten out or lock them out keep them slightly
bent keep them straight drop down into that squat again come up bang hit that
row all the way and all the way out squat make sure you're doing a full squat
and then engaging in the row finishing off the row before you engage into that squat
again so you're going squat row squat right we don't want to be trying to do a squat
in a row at the same time and doing you know you doing both exercise you really
want to separate them so row make sure you pinching those elbows back when
we're pinching those elbows we really want to work that scapula keep that head
nice and straight pinch those scabs together but those arms come back out sit
down into that squat and work those glutes it's a cable squat row for today
